Quanta computer’s 1Q19 net income decreased by 20% to NTD3.124bn

Quanta computer (2382-TW) announced its 1Q19 earnings report today on May 14th. Its 1Q19 net income was NTD3.124bn ( -24.56% QoQ, +14.22% YoY) with EPS of NTD0.81.

Quanta computer entered into low season in 1Q19. Its 1Q19 revenue was NTD221.33bn (-30.11% QoQ, + 0.18% YoY). Its 1Q19 GM was 4.47% (+0.37% QoQ, +0.29 YoY), setting a 5-quarter high. Its 1Q19 operating profit margin was 1.29% (+0.14% QoQ, -0.04% YoY). Its 1Q19 net income was NTD3.124bn ( -24.56% QoQ, +14.22% YoY) with EPS of NTD0.81.

Moreover, the company also announced that The BOD agreed to distribute a cash dividend of NTD 3.55 per share.

The company told that although facing the challenges including supply shortage of CPU, weaken global economy, and the US-China trade war, Quanta computer began to adjust its operations in 4Q19 so its 1Q19 profit still increased YoY. In the future, the company will continue to develop high-end technology such as AI cloud and server.
